What
is Pilates? |
|
Pilates
is an exercise technique developed in the 1900's by Joseph Pilates
to increase core strength, flexibility, coordination without major
impact on your joints. |

How
is Pilates different from yoga, strength training, cardio, and other
forms of exercise? |
|
Pilates
offers a synergistic full body workout that emphasizes balancing our
body's ability to move efficiently in our daily living activities
- most other forms of exercise are not as comprehensive or as quick
to develop the body's ability to perform. |

I'm
a runner. How will Core Studio Pilates help me? |
|
You
will learn how to work with control from the inside of your body,
instead of relying exclusively on your limbs to generate the strength
and energy it requires to run, especially long distances. The mind/body
connection is also exercised along with muscle strength, balance and
flexibility. |

like it would help a runner, an extreme would learn how to focus on
the deepest of their core muscles, and would help promote endurance
for those intense activities. |
|
